Sparkling Rose Wines like their white counter part do not have to adhere to the same quality controls that French Rose Champagnes do. They are allowed to use any dark colored grapes that are grown on the land in the cuvee. These wines too can use any of the four methods of fermentation: Methode Champenoise, Transfer Method, Charmat Bulk Process or Gas Injection. The only true rule or regulation in production is that the wine must have a period of contact with the skins of the dark colored grapes. This is what turns the otherwise white juice to a light red or pink color. Skin contact also provides a backbone to the wine and allows it to accentuate the aromas and flavors that are in the skin. Thus producing a crisp, fully sparkling exuberant wine that boasts of red berry scents and flavors. The best of these wines are produced in the Medicino and Sonoma areas of California where the dark colored grapes are lush and fruity. They pair well with light salads and finger foods.
"That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" said William Shakespeare, and sweet is this rose-smelling Brut Rose. From its pale salmon-pink depths, rise aromas of rose petals, spring's first strawberries, cherry blossoms, and just a hint of hay in a sun-drenched summer field. This Rose shows a complex and elegant palate of red berries with underpinnings of licorice, guava, and filo pastry, all supported by a wonderfully slaty acidity and a delicate, yet persistent mousse. This is truly one of those "Ah-ha" moment wines that show why great Rose never goes out of style.
Festive cranberry in color with a haunting, aromatic bouquet with hints of raspberries, strawberries and hints of rose petals. A fresh raspberry taste, with crisp acidity, enticing the palate with an initial softness, graduating to a round and luscious finish. Rosa Regale is produced from Brachetto grapes grown in the 'La Rosa' vineyard, located in the heart of historic Acqui Terme. Rosa Regale is produced using the Charmat process, fermentation with brief skin contact, filtration and storage at 32 F, followed by refermentation in stainless-steel vats, and isobaric bottling. A unique and festive sparkling wine and a seductive aperitif.

Korbel Sweet Rose is made from a complex selection of both red and white grape varieties. The blend is designed to have very bright fruit flavors and aromas. We have found that harvesting some of the red varieties such as zinfandel and sangiovesse early in the ripening process helps us achieve the style we want for this cuvee. Bursting with flavors of bright cherries and berries, Korbel Sweet Rose is the excellent Champagne to toast all of life's great moments. Serve Korbel Sweet Rose as an aperitif, with fresh fruit, or with appetizers such as grilled prawns and mango salsa or with a selection of ripe cheeses
