Although the Dutch have been making Chocolate Wines for decades they have just now become popular in the Western world. Chocolate Wines can be divided into two categories: Dark red wines that are rich and Port like, often Zinfandel based. Creamy Chocolate colored wines that are softer and smoother in style to which coco cream is added, resulting in a type of adult chocolate milk. Include in the later category is Coco di Vine. Although the base wine here is white the infused coco creates a perfect sweet harmony in the bottle. This is a perfect crowd-pleasing after diner drink and can be poured seductively over ice cream for a wild flavor explosion.
