Canadian Whiskey

As you might guess, Canadian Whiskey comes from Canada, and it is smoother and lighter than many other whiskeys because it contains corn spirits. For many Canadian whiskeys, rye is the major ingredient used in the distillation process, and so many people refer to Canadian whiskey as "Rye." All Canadian whiskeys are aged at least three years, and some contain caramel. During Prohibition, Canadian whisky became widely known throughout the U.S., as it was imported by bootleggers and smugglers. Some of these brands, including Crown Royal, Canadian Club, and Canadian Mist, remain extremely popular.
