Description | Details | Rating

Bright cherry color with a garnet edge. On the nose, initial ripe fruit mixes with spicy aromas and creamy, toasty, notes from complex oak. The lasting bouquet ends with chocolate and an earthy character. On the palate, this wine is powerful, rich, and toasty. Balanced acidity and ripe tannins linger on the finish. Pair with red or game meats, and rice.

Robert Parker The Wine Advocate
"The top wine, and a real winner, is the 2013 Breca, which is aged in threeyearold French oak for 21 months prior to being bottled unfiltered. Loads of flinty mineral characteristics are present in the aromatics. The wine offers black cherry, black raspberry notes and licorice, followed by pure, medium to fullbodied ripe fruit, good acidity and a surprisingly long finish. This is another killer value. Drink it over the next 23 years."

Vinous Antonio Galloni
"Vivid ruby. Sexy, mineral-laced aromas of fresh red berries, candied flowers and Asian spices, with a hint of cola in the background. Sweet, concentrated and seamless, offering intense raspberry and cherry compote flavors and a touch of vanilla. Clings with impressive authority on the finish, which features supple tannins and lingering floral character. This wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, then went through malolactic fermentation and 21 months of aging in used French oak barriques. Yields here were reportedly less than a ton per acre in this vintage."
