"The vineyards for this wine are 900-1350 feet above sea level with West - Southwest exposure. The grapes are vinified separately with a 10 day maceration that includes malolactic fermentation, then matured in French barrique for 10 months, blended and rested for six additional months in stainless steel containers. The color is an intense ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, aromas of red fruit, spices and flowers are detected. On the palate great roundness of the Merlot meets the delicacy of the Sangiovese and gives persistence and extraordinary tannin. Food Pairing: Pair with traditional first courses, meats, stewed fish and medium aged cheeses."
