"A wine with attractive berry, black olive and hints of wood. Mediumtofull body, with firm tannins and a chewy finish. Wood, tannins should melt into the wine with bottle age. A blend of 25% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Sangioveto. Better in 2014."
Robert Parker The Wine Advocate
"To the eye, deeply ruby in color, while the bouquet charms with scents of red cherry, ripe strawberry, cola and spice. On the palate, flavors recalling black plums and black cherry dance upon its soft mouthfeel. Rounded tannins and a dash of acidity combine to give this wine its clean finish."
"Elegant and subtle, featuring black cherry, raspberry and spice flavors. The tannins sneak in, leaving a tactile sensation on the long finish. Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2016 through 2030. 13,300 cases made."
Vinous Antonio Galloni
"The estate's 2011 Le Sughere di Frassinello shows lovely finesse and harmony. Plum and dark cherry notes meld into tobacco, incense and spices. A hint of orange peel adds exotic, floral overtones that are intriguing, while the finish is nicely focused and impeccable. Le Sughere is Sangioveto, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon."
