Powerfully flavoursome and intense, Amarone is a hugely impressive variety of wine made using dried red grapes, and Allegrini's Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico is one of the finest examples around of this style. The 2014 vintage is made using a combination of 45% Corvina Veronese, 45% Corvinone, 5% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta grapes, and matured in oak casks for 18 months. Dense strawberry and blackcurrant, joined by hints of roasted coffee bean, mint and basil leaf.

Wine Spectator
"A fresh, creamy, medium- to full-bodied red, with fine, supple tannins layered with flavors of crushed black raspberry, fig cake and spiced orange, offering a subtle, savory underpinning of smoky mineral and tobacco that lingers on the finish. Long and elegant. Drink now through 2029."
