"Winemaker Anthony Biagi compares our 2008 PlumpJack Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot) quite favorably to both the 2002 and 2007 vintages as it possess the opulent flavor profiles of the 2007 with the mouth coating tannins of the 2002. He describes this wine as possessing pungent aromas of Blackberry, Plums, Black Cherry and Minerals. They are followed on the palate with flavors of Blackberry Pie, Hoisin, Black Olive and Black Cherry. This wine is more approachable at this point then the 2007 with what I feel are sweeter tannins. It will be at its best 5-7 years from now but will go an easy 15 years."
