Robert Parker The Wine Advocate
"Beginning with the entrylevel Hermanos range, the 2012 Hermanos Torrontes from Cafayate in Salta is from 26yearold vines. It has a superb bouquet of peach skin, pear and a hint of lime flower that has a Rieslinglike personality. The palate is mediumbodied with crisp tannins and a precise, mineralrich finish that shows what Torrontes can do in the right hands. Excellent. Drink now2016. I tasted three excellent wines from the Hermanos winery in the Calchqui Valley in Cafayate. Located in the Yacochuya District in Cafayate, the Domingo Molina winery is run by Rafael (winemaker), Osvaldo (vineyard manager) and Gabriel (the business side of things). Their importer describes them as the Dukes of Hazzard, although I am unsure which one is Daisy Duke. The focus here is upon vinifying small lots: keeping things on a small scale, seeking out terroirs in the Salta Province to create balanced, mineraldriven wines."
