"A fresh, ripe and intensely floral nose gives way to rich, round and quite generous mediumbodied flavors that possess good richness and volume before terminating in a sappy, delicious, intense and moderately dry finish. There is good complexity and fine persistence and while this should reward 2 to 3 years of cellaring, it's already sufficiently open to be enjoyed now. Worth considering though give it 30 minutesof air first if you're going to try one young."" This estate is a neat, wellrun operation and JeanLouis has improved the overall quality since setting out on his own. All in all this domaine is a very dependable source. Winemaking is efficient, JeanLouis believes in adding selected yeasts so that the fermentation starts quickly. The malolactic fermentation tends to follow quickly and the wines are often tasting well as early as February or March following the vintage. After the malo the wines are not racked but left on the lees until July when they are transferred to stainless steel vats to rest. The are generally bottled in October or November. The wines are clean, crisp and wellbalanced. JeanLouis uses no more than 30% new oak, a correct decision as these are not the most concentrated wines of the village."
